Operating areas covered by the Major Accidents Ordinance must be monitored by the competent authorities in accordance with Article 16 "Monitoring system" and Article 17 "Monitoring plan and monitoring program" of the Major Accidents Ordinance. Monitoring includes on-site inspections of the operating areas at regular intervals by the monitoring authority. In this context, the monitoring authority checks the technical, organizational and management-specific measures that a plant operator has taken to prevent incidents or to keep their effects as low as possible. At the GENDORF Chemical Park, too, all plants subject to the Major Accidents Ordinance are subject to monitoring by the authorities. Here you will find information on the monitoring cycle and the date of the last monitoring.
